I’m all for red hearts and the traditional Valentines trimmings, but I wanted to offer you something a little simpler and more contemporary. Why can’t a Valentine be modern, graphic and black & white? Something possibly more masculine… or at least less girly? I’ve designed these three free printable notebook labels and arrow pencil topper as my version of a stylish valentine.

Just download and print out the labels (onto plain paper or sticker paper), cut them out and stick them onto the front of a set of notebooks. I used Moleskine journals – if your notebooks are smaller just print at a reduced size. Run a line of glue down the center of the pencil topper and adhere it to the top of the pencil.

This is a fun, easy and inexpensive way to give a gift of modern love. And because it’s not all hearts and flowers it makes an ideal gift at any time of the year. What do you think? Are you going to download the free printable and make a unique Valentine’s gift?

Thanks for your enthusiasm Dom. I agree – most thinks are very feminine – I’m happy to be able to fill the gap.
ah, typo… that would be “things”

There’s something great about the graphic simplicity of black and white isn’t there? Sticker paper, or self-adhesive paper, is fairly easy to come by. An online search would be the best place to start. Having said that I just used a nice thick(ish) white paper and glue and it worked a treat.
This is brilliant, Lisa! Love the pencil arrow idea & your graphics are gorgeous for all year. Thank You so much for sharing this with us.
Thanks for the lovely feedback! Yes, I think they are good for any occasion. And you’re so welcome.
