Magic eight balls are kind of fun aren’t they? This is my free printable version of the magic eight ball – a magic dice. Looking for an opinion? Need an answer? The magic dice can help. Children will love this. Roxy is happy to spend a long time thinking up questions and rolling the dice, over and over again. Do I have to make my bed in the morning? Will I have a good day at school? Are we going to go on an awesome holiday this year? Can I have chocolate for breakfast?! Of course there are some things that the magic dice isn’t allowed to have the last word on.

Got a question to ask? To download the free printable just click here.

Edit: Following a reader comment about the singular and plural versions of die/dice, I thought I’d add this… I did double check before I wrote the post and according to the Oxford Dictionary: “Historically, dice is the plural of die, but in modern standard English dice is both the singular and the plural: throw the dice could mean a reference to either one or more than one dice.” Tricky!
I hope you have fun with this magic dice – with or without kids – this simple idea has definitely given us lots of laughs and enjoyment.

This is so cool! I was always a fan of the magic 8 ball as a kid, so I love this. Filing away to use when my daughter is older too.
Thanks Christine, I hope you enjoy it in the meantime!
Me encanta, gracias!!

Hi Irina, you’re welcome!
love this! I’m going to print it out and have my Mundo Lindo kids put them together and use them. (The 4th & 5th graders in my after school art program) thanks!!
Great idea Jane – I’m sure they’ll love it!
Love the colors in this dice, can’t wait to print it out! Thanks for sharing
Cheers,

You’re welcome Marjorie! Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Hi Anna, thanks so much for the heads up… all fixed.
thanks a lot, i´ve just print it our;)
I can’t print it….???
Sorry Claire, not sure what happened there, but it’s good to go now.
That’s really cute! Though it’s ‘die’ for a single one and ‘dice’ in the plural. Sorry, I’m a huge grammar nerd! I do love the nice bright colours on it. I’d make one for my son to play with, but he’d just destroy it.
Hi Bryony, Thanks for your comment. Like you I like to be correct with my grammar, so I did double check the dice/die thing before I wrote the post. According to the Oxford dictionary:
“Historically, dice is the plural of die, but in modern standard English dice is both the singular and the plural: throw the dice could mean a reference to either one or more than one dice.”
I know – it’s confusing.
Maybe when your son gets a bit older the magic dice might be something you could do with him!
Yeah, I saw that, too: I just can’t help that it still sounds wrong to me! Though, I suppose when the OED allows it, there’s nothing else to be done. I think it’s such a relatively new change in language that people are still transitioning; hence the need to look it up and make sure that it’s okay.
Anyway, I’m enjoying your blog!
I know – it’s tricky when you’ve been taught something and then it changes!
