The other week I had Roxy home from school sick and all she wanted was to snuggle up next to me in bed. I’m going to miss that when she grows up, but it meant that no work got done. What was I to do with my day but pick up a crochet hook and yarn bomb my lamp?!

It was easy to do – I just did my crochet in rows and decreased to match the shape of the lamp. Then I sewed up the seam at the back. Yarn bomb and lamp makeover complete! Is this something you’d like a tutorial for? Have you ever done any yarn bombing at home or in public places?

Love it! And, yes, a tutorial would be fab!
thanks Kim!
tutorial vote number 1.
Yes, of course!
Hi Zara – Ok, I’m definitely thinking about it now.
This is fabulous and I would love a tutorial!
Hey Cindy, thank you! OK, I’ll see when I can fit it in. Stay tuned.
divine! amazing how nice it looks and how it fits in and softens the whole look of the lamp and room. well done!
Oh thank you Jane! I love the way the chunky softness does that too.
Yes, this is really nice! I would love to know what yarn you used and how you figured out the decreases, etc. I vote for a tutorial too.
Hi Nicole. I used Zpagetti yarn which is made from fashion industry offcuts – it’s stretch knit fabric. There is a link to their website in my coil bowl tutorial and also the knotted neckpiece tutorial. I just sort of figured out the decreases as i went along. I will post a tutorial… as soon as I can schedule it in!
