It was lovely to be asked to make a couple of props for a story in the February issue of Country Style magazine – just two small things, but it’s nice to see them in print. Stylist Vanessa Colyer Tay (who is a super nice person with an amazing stylist’s eye) was after an indigo fabric coil bowl and an oversize tassel for a shoot. Perhaps you’re reading this post because you saw the link to my blog in the magazine? You might be looking for the tutorials? Well hi, I’m glad you visited! Here’s how to make a fabric coil bowl, and the tassels are super easy – find my tassel tutorial here. I am in the process of putting together a tutorial on making and using rag rope, so if you’re keen to make an oversized tassel like this one, the rag rope is perfect. Stay tuned in the next week for the how to.
